The beginnings of Manning & Associates, PC were in 1988 when Mark Manning had the grand opening of his public accounting firm in Crete, Nebraska. This was the parent company of what eventually became Manning & Associates, PC. Over the years, we have seen many things as a firm: a move to a new location in Crete, the opening of a second office in Geneva, many changes to tax laws, as well as the addition of two more owners. What will never change is our gratitude for our clients, our commitment to quality service, and our focus on family values to encourage a healthy work-life balance for our employees.

President
Mark started the firm in 1988 in Crete. In 1992, he bought the practice in Geneva. The two offices consolidated in 2000. Mark works in Crete most days, but travels to Geneva on Thursdays and as needed to assist clients.

Senior Accountant
Greg began working in our Crete office in August 2013. Greg specializes in farm and business taxes along with tax planning. He will also be working with businesses on QuickBooks setup and training.

Certified Public Accountant
Lauren began working at the firm in June 2019. She graduated from Doane University in Crete with a double major in Accounting and Business Administration in May 2019 and obtained her CPA certification in July 2021. Lauren helps to prepare business tax returns of all kinds as well as individual tax returns, fire district and township budgets, and bookkeeping services. She works out of our Crete office, but travels to Geneva often, and has enjoyed getting to know clients at both locations. Lauren grew up on a farm near Deshler and now lives in Lincoln with her husband, Matthew. She enjoys cheering on her younger siblings, running, crafting, and catching up with her friends in her free time.

Office Manager/Staff Accountant
Sherri Pospisil joined the firm in September 1992. She grew up in Benkelman in Southwest Nebraska. She graduated from the University of Nebraska - Kearney with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in December 1991. Sherri works primarily in our Geneva office where she prepares individual tax returns, payrolls, governmental budgets, and bookkeeping. She also handles a lot of our administrative work and helps out in our /Crete office when needed. Sherri and her husband Alan live in Geneva. They enjoy spending time with family, watching football, and traveling (when time allows).

Staff Accountant
Jann has been with our firm since January 1998. She works in our Geneva office. Jann prepares tax returns, does bookkeeping, and assists anywhere needed.
